The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub.. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Mission Statement:
The Project Engineer for Valve Mechanical Design has the responsibility for product configuration management for Converter Valves based on product structure as per Product Management and to support PLM tasks performed to ensure that PLM with configurator works as per HVDC PLM program of scale.
Co-ordinating with cross functional teams globally including HVDC PLM architecture team to ensure the delivery of all PLM related projects for Product Valves.
Your responsibility:
PLM support and prepare PLM database, configurations for different technologies.
Participate in PLM Products Valves project execution and work closely with Product Management.
Define Valve configuration, product & BOM structure & communicate with other function teams.
Prepare product features & families to define product feature & requirement management.
Write inclusion/exclusion & other product rules in discussion with product experts globally.
Support PLM related automation efforts including projects & PLM product mapping.

Willingness to travel abroad occasionally for short periods.
Your background:
Have Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum work experience of 4+ years for bachelor's degree or 2+ years for master's degree.
Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in Teamcenter, TC structure manager & TC configurator and other PLM tools.
Strong Knowledge in programming languages like Python/C#/C++/VB/Power BI.
Strong Knowledge & Experience in MS Excel including macros & VB
Knowledge in MS Office applications including Forms, Visio, Streams & other Power Applications
