Underwriting AssistantXLICSE, India Reinsurance BranchMumbai, IndiaXLICSE is an Ireland domiciled insurer with branches throughout the EU, as well as Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and India.  It primarily writes property, casualty and specialty insurance and facultative reinsurance for large national and multinational corporations and leading insurance companies.  XLICSE is part of AXA XL (a division of AXA group) which also operates in several jurisdictions worldwide.Having obtained the certificate of registration from IRDAI to operate as a reinsurance branch located in Mumbai in 2017, the branch is well positioned to effectively develop and service clients of AXA XL in India.As owner and principal facilitator of assigned accounts, the Underwriting Assistant will perform front-to-end activities throughout the life-cycle of renewal and prospect accounts from submission to expiration. The Underwriting Assistant will be engaged in ongoing development of his/her knowledge of commercial insurance related to his/her specialized line of business.DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?Proactive engagement, providing support to various underwriting business and ensuring:information received is understood and complete in order to process policiesthe administrative processes for the end to end policy lifecycle are run efficiently to support internal and external stakeholdersfor new and renewed accountsdata quality and compliance with internal standards & guidelines and statutory requirementsEnsure timely and complete documentation of underwriting files for traceability and audit purposesWork collaboratively with the offshore shared services team to ensure timely requests of quotes, name clearance and accurate binding of quotes and other adhoc tasks.For global programs, the role holder would work across different geographies and product lines to set up and administer large global programs. Assist with collection of unpaid premiums. Foster positive relationship with internal/external counterparts to get a mutual understanding of their needsTimely and accurate updates on monthly and adhoc reportingAny other projects or adhoc tasks assigned by Operations Lead or Manager from time to timeYou will report to the Underwriting Manager with a secondary reporting line to Operations Lead Singapore.
