Job Description:
The Airbus Design System team is looking for a Lead UI Designer (m/f) to maintain, build and drive the adoption of the product.

Help us build enablers and drive digitalisation by combining deep experience of UI design and an innate drive to improve existing systems and processes with the creativity to design new solutions to evolving challenges.
You will collaborate with passionate people; other designers, developers working on React, Angular and a Product Owner.
Lead the design activities by ensuring all designers understand the scope of design activities and needed qualityBuild guidelines with best practices and examples
Work with the Product Owner and the Tech Lead to identify design activities that can be done with externals + the appropriate impact on the run of the product (Design Kits).
Translate users and business needs into design implementation
Build close relationships with our design community and empower designers to contribute and provide context of use
Encourage UI contributions, through facilitation, support and design reviews
Advocate for best practices that improve accessibility, reliability, quality and consistency
Communicate, promote and accompany the adoption of the system
Identify graphical concepts that can feed our branding ecosystem
Your Boarding Pass
6+ years of experience in UI Design
Highly skilled in leading a creative team with different levels
Experience on building and maintaining a Design System
Strong knowledge on UI Design tools such as Sketch and Figma
Establish robust design standards to feed the documentation
Improve the design to development handoff process
Ability to translate brand values into graphical concepts that will be consumed by UI Components and UI Patterns
Perform UI Design reviews and accompany junior designers
Establish strong relationship with people from other departments and especially with the corporate branding
Continuous research on graphical trends
Experience working in agile teams
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and ability to popularised technical concepts
Ability to identify and translate user needs into viable solutions
Advanced level of English and French
Nice to have
Master degree in Interaction Design, UI Design or relevant field
Drawing skills, ability to illustrate and draw ideas
Knowledge on motion design and UI animations
