Transport Manager at JLL
What this job involves:
As a Transport Manager at JLL, you'll play a crucial role in shaping a brighter way for our clients and fellow employees through efficient logistics management. You'll be responsible for overseeing and optimizing transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. What your day-to-day will look like:
• Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Manage and coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Negotiate contracts with carriers and vendors to secure optimal rates and services
• Oversee fleet management, including maintenance schedules and vehicle replacement planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transportation needs with overall business objectives
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all transportation activities
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management or logistics
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in transportation management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
• Professional certifications such as CSCMP or APICS
• Experience with international shipping and customs procedures
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in transportation and logistics
• Familiarity with real estate or facilities management industries
• Proficiency in data visualization tools and advanced analytics software
• Multilingual capabilities
