About The Role:The Trade Marketing Manager at the national level is responsible for driving the execution of trade marketing strategies across the country. This role combines the management of marketing campaigns targeted at trade partners, such as distributors, retailers, and wholesalers, with the design and delivery of training programs aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of sales teams and trade partners. The manager will work closely with sales, marketing to ensure that marketing initiatives are aligned with business goals, ensuring the successful implementation and execution of trade marketing activities and sales growth across the nation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and implement national trade marketing strategies channel wise that support the brand’s objectives, Sellout, drive product visibility, and increase market share.
- Market intelligence
- Work with national sales and marketing teams to create promotional plans, in-store displays, and trade events tailored to different regions, ensuring alignment with the broader marketing strategy.
- Manage and execute trade marketing campaigns, ensuring that they are effectively communicated, and materials are provided to trade partners, such as POS (Point of Sale) displays, promotional offers, and merchandising guidelines.
- Ensure planning and execution of the trade marketing and activation plan at the store level with the help of the zonal trade marketing managers.
- Market Analysis & Insights:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer behaviors to identify opportunities for growth in key trade channels.
- Analyze the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns, using data and feedback to adjust strategies and tactics to optimize ROI.
- Develop reports on market conditions, campaign performance, and trade partner engagement for senior management.
- Trade Partner Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key national trade partners, including distributors, retailers, and wholesalers, to drive product sales and brand loyalty.
- Work with the fixtures team for fixtures execution and bring back ideas from the market for new fixture design conceptualization.
- Create and execute Partner and staff engagement programs.
- Support trade partners with the tools, resources, and training they need to successfully promote and sell the brand’s products.
- Act as a liaison between trade partners and internal teams (sales, marketing, operations) to ensure smooth execution of marketing and training programs.
- Collaboration with Sales and Marketing Teams:
- Collaborate closely with the national sales team to align trade marketing efforts with sales objectives, ensuring that marketing activities support the achievement of sales targets.
- Work with the marketing team to create compelling trade promotions, advertising materials, and campaigns tailored to the trade channels.
- Ensure that training programs reflect current product offerings, sales strategies, and marketing campaigns to maintain consistency in messaging and execution.
- Budget Management & Reporting:
- Manage the national trade marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources across trade marketing initiatives and training programs.
- Track expenditures related to trade marketing and training programs, providing regular updates to senior management on budget status and return on investment (ROI).
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in trade marketing, retail strategies, and training methodologies, applying new ideas and best practices to improve campaign effectiveness and training outcomes.
- Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing and training initiatives, using feedback and performance data to refine and optimize future programs.
About You:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- At least 12-15 years of experience in trade marketing, sales with a proven track record of managing national-level marketing campaigns.
- Experience in consumer electronics, retail, or a similar industry where trade marketing plays a key role in sales growth.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of trade marketing principles, sales channels, and retail operations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs for both internal teams and external trade partners.
- Analytical skills with the ability to assess market data, campaign performance, and training effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience using marketing automation tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Other Requirements:
- Travel: Frequent national travel required to meet with trade partners, oversee training sessions, and manage trade marketing activities in various regions.
- Work Environment: Flexibility to work from various locations, including field visits, regional offices, and corporate headquarters.
