You will be part of the Global Tax function at American Express, whose mission is to deliver tax expertise and technology-enhanced solutions that positively influence business outcomes. This role is based out of Gurugram and sits within the Global Transfer Pricing (GTP) team, reporting to Director - Global Transfer Pricing at American Express. The GTP team ensures the creation and alignment of transfer pricing policies with global business operations of the Company, assists in preparing strategic documentation to support inter-company transactions within the group, and resolves transfer pricing challenges with tax authorities across various jurisdictions.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The primary focus of this role will be to support the Director of Global Transfer Pricing in managing transfer pricing audits internationally. The candidate will also support to ensure that all intercompany transactions follow relevant transfer pricing regulations and are in compliance with Company’s transfer pricing policies.
In addition, the candidate will be regularly challenged both internally and externally due to wide-ranging and complex inter-company transactions across various lines of businesses and constant transfer pricing developments in the US and abroad.
This role will involve working closely with a diverse team of tax and accounting professionals and advisors including colleagues from Intercompany Center of Excellence (IC-COE) to navigate complex transfer pricing audits and defend associated intercompany transactions related tax positions.
