JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
ØDevelop and execute exploratory, manual, and automated tests to ensure product quality.
ØAnalyze product specs, decompose complicated software systems, and design strategies to test these systems.
ØCreate detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
ØWork as an Agile team member participating in backlog grooming, sprint planning and task estimation.
ØProvide metrics upon execution of smoke and regression suites to establish baselines and track quality and efficiency improvements over time.
ØCommunicate software testing and automation best practices with team, including new and emerging technologies.
ØWork closely with internal and external teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
ØTrack quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
ØUnderstanding of software testing and optimization methodologies, including executing performance and regression testing and building test plans and cases.
EXPERIENCE:
Primary Expertise:
ØBachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or Equivalent (BE/BTech/MS/MTech/MCA)
ØExperience in implementing large automation projects, documenting workflow and processes, reliable monitoring implementations, optimizing script performance, and delivering high quality, consistent results.
Ø4 to 6 years of manual testing, test automation, bug tracking and quality management.
Ø4 to 6 years of successful usage of testing tools, agile and sprint-based projects, with an emphasis on quality.
ØExperience with SQL, C#, Java (for automation) and tools like Rally, Jira, Confluence
