Lead from the front – Should maintain working knowledge of the product line in terms of usage, business, value, road map and user perspective for various core platforms and products used by agents, underwriters, Customers, Software engineers etc. as part Global Core Platform Engineering team.

Develop and institutionalize Product mindset, across the complete lifecycle of a product.
Provide Managerial oversight of delivery of all the scrum teams for these products.
Sets and monitors performance goals & objectives, including providing feedback through performance appraisals and day-to-day discussions and ensuring alignment with the overall product line goals.
Attend daily stand-ups, retrospectives, planning sessions, sprint reviews etc. often enough to be abreast of common occurrences.
Driving Execution
Maintain technical knowledge of the product line in terms of architecture, tech stack, dependencies, scale and performances.
Contribute and maintain the Product Vision and Roadmap, considering market adoption needs and end-user requirements.
Participate and drive release planning for teams; Participate in annual strategic planning process.
Identify and manage risks and dependencies for the teams.
Monitoring adherence to budgets and make the best use of resources.
Ensures delivery of quality releases for product line through management of direct reports.
Be an evangelist of the product and aid in adoption across various business units.
Talent Development
Champion the Product Mindset and Agile Methodologies.
Coach and mentor the team on best practices to drive delivery excellence.
Hold ongoing career path discussions; encourage lateral development in addition to readiness for upward mobility.
Identify and advocate for training and development based on skill gaps, tech market trends and
internal product changes.
Experience/Technical Skills (preferred):
18+ years of experience in IT with at least 5+ years of managing product engineering squads.
Experience in microservices architecture, full stack development, Restful APIs, Kafka, Rules Engine, BPM etc.
Demonstrate strong experience in leading multiple tracks/ squads/ pods towards common goal.
Experience and expertise in Technology Product Development in Retail/ Insurance/ Banking/ Healthcare domain will be an advantage.
Experience in delivering technology modernization or transformation initiatives will be key.
Experience in Cloud Platform preferably Azure and its services viz. Azure Kubernetes service and Serverless Stack knowledge are good to have. Certification in any Cloud platform technology will be a plus.
Strong competency in Object-Oriented Programming and Design thinking
Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or equivalent. MBA would be advantageous.
