Position overview:

The role holder as a Techno-Commercial Engineer needs to balance technical expertise with commercial acumen, supporting customers, managing sales, and driving business growth while ensuring the technical quality and performance of the products.RFQ handling and cost analyzing. The role is critical to the successful development of Optimas’ new business and the expansion of commercial product revenues.

Responsibilities

1. Technical Support and Expertise:

• Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of fasteners, their specifications, materials, and applications to advise customers effectively.
• Customization: Provide technical solutions for custom fasteners based on customer needs, ensuring compatibility with their projects or production processes.
• Troubleshooting: Assist customers in resolving technical issues related to fasteners, such as performance, application challenges, or quality concerns.
• Quality Assurance: Work with quality control teams to ensure all products meet customer specifications and international quality standards.

2. Sales and Business Development:

• Customer Interaction: Engage with both existing and potential customers to promote fastener products, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions with customer relations & getting feedback on existing topics.
• Quotations and Proposals: Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including pricing, delivery schedules, and terms.
• Negotiation: Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with customers while maintaining profitability for the company.
• Market Research: Identify new market trends, customer requirements, and competitor offerings to recommend improvements or innovations in the product line.Design Assistance: Provide input into the design and engineering of fasteners to ensure they meet customer and industry standards.

3. Project Management:

• Order Management:Oversee the entire order cycle from inquiry to delivery, ensuring accurate and timely execution of orders.
• Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams (production, procurement, and logistics) to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
• Timeline Management: Ensure that projects and deliveries meet agreed deadlines.

4. Supplier and Vendor Management:

• Sourcing: Work closely with suppliers to ensure the availability of required materials at competitive prices, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Quality Control: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure that fasteners meet the required technical specifications and quality standards.

5. Cost Management and Pricing:

• Costing: Calculate and estimate the cost of producing fasteners, taking into account materials, labor, overheads, and profit margins.
• Pricing Strategy: Develop competitive pricing strategies based on cost analysis, market conditions, and customer expectations.
