Job Summary: The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating business rules and documentation related to data governance. This role requires a strong understanding of data management principles, excellent writing skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
• Write clear and concise business rules that align with organizational data governance objectives.
• Collaborate with data stewards, data analysts, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation.
• Create user guides, manuals, and training materials to support data governance initiatives.
• Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and adheres to company standards.
• Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, and completeness.
• Assist in the development of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Participate in data governance meetings and provide input on documentation needs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in data governance or a related area.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.
• Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with data management tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data governance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Certification in data governance or related fields.
