Job Title: Technical Trainer
Job Description
Technical Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and delivering Training and Onboarding Content for Internal Teams and External Customers.
This is a Dual role: You would train internal Qualys Employees (60%) and Execute Technical Implementation projects(40%) for Qualys Customers.
In this specialist role, you would own Training and Implementation for Qualys VMDR and Compliance Portfolio. All responsibilities are centred around the same product.
Experience in Python, Bash/Shell, and API-associated scripting would be an excellent addition to this role.
Roles and Responsibilities
Customer Onboarding/Technical Implementation:
- Ownership of Building Customer Onboarding Documentation, Milestones, and Agenda for the Products you own
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on the assigned product for the Customer Onboarding Team and other Technical Implementation Engineers, assist/handle Technical queries/escalations
- Monitor and coach Technical Implementation Engineers and handle Complex Implementation Scenarios
- Deliver Technical Implementation/Customer Onboarding Projects associated with your Product portfolio
- Help in building automation for Customer Onboarding:
- Analyse Data required to scope Automation in Technical Implementation
- Create API Scripts(or Postman) to automate Manual Tasks in Product UI
- Work with SME team to bring out and document required Customer Solutions
Training Delivery & Management -
- Training Internal Suppor & Engineering folks on Assigned Product(s) and associated Troubleshooting.
- Design, develop, maintain and deliver exceptional technical training materials in multiple modalities, including eLearning, videos, labs, Assessments, and instructor-led classroom training
- Design, build and maintain virtual lab environments and associated lab guides to support technical training courses. Develop scripts that can automate the evaluation of Break-fix labs (Informal assessments)
- Scope & Manage Training projects, schedule, estimate time, and communication to stakeholders as required accurately
- Execute the Onboarding plan for new hires in Qualys, support new hires during the nesting phase, and measure Training gaps as part of continuous improvement.
- Manage New Product Introductions(NPI) and Maintain NPI repository: Work with multiple teams, including engineering, product management, and Support, to consolidate knowledge elements for New products/updates, review and validate the content and ensure Training aligns with business requirements.
- Work with Tech leads and Support Managers to work on support enablement and build a learning culture across the Support Organization.
Relocation to Pune required - We have a hybrid model of work (three Days work from the office, two days work from home)
Skills & Experience
Essential
- At least 3 years of domain expertise in enterprise IT Products, preferably in DevOps, QA, Training, Enterprise Technical Support
- Deep understanding of Fundamentals involved as Building blocks of an Enterprise software ( Operating System, networking concepts , Database, Backend, ELK stack etc.)
- Willingness to learn new Technologies, Train Internal people, & Help customers Implement solutions for this highly Technically Demanding role.
- Experienced in building complex virtual environments, small heterogeneous networks
- Excellent oral, presentation & written communication skills
- Ability to execute several parallel tasks and prioritise appropriately
- Ability to install and manage Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
Desirable
- Previous Experience Implementing Enterprise Customer Solutions
- Experience on any One Public Cloud Platform - AWS, Azure, GCP , OCI
- Knowledge and experience using Qualys products
- Ability to write custom scripts and tools
