Department Description
ENS-Automation (Part of Enterprise Network Services team) -Key area of focus is the automation stream and inheriting new ways of working as an organisation. You are expected to contribute to the automation programme within ENS that will help automate key tasks there by improving efficiency.
The Role and Purpose
This role will be part of ENS team, and it requires working on identifying, developing, and supporting self-service automations for the global ENS.
The candidate will work with the ENS teams (Operations, Delivery and Engineering Teams) in driving ENS automation strategies with focus on creating a solid foundation at grassroots to build a fully API enabled, CI-CD pipeline along with test automation suites. It will also ensure metrics, reports, and dashboards are designed and implemented to provide data for continuous improvements.
Responsibility
- Seasoned IT software delivery professional with an experience of 6+ years of hands-on system software analysis, development, testing, and maintenance in the infrastructure domain.
- Work with infrastructure teams to understand today’s processes
- Design automation solution using Infra as code practices and API solutions.
- Enable delivery across the global teams using common platform and tools
- Implement DevOps and Agile working to deliver Infrastructure as code models
- Implement test automation and coverage solutions
- Develop automations using agile and modern architecture patterns like API, CI-CD, and test automation.
- Migrate existing on-prim automations to Cloud native services
Must have skills and experience
- Strong hands-on experience with version control frameworks (Git, GitHub, AWS CodeCommit, BitBucket,)
- Strong hands-on experience with API development using Python
- Strong hands-on experience with infrastructure configuration management tool -Terraform, Ansible.
- Strong hands-on experience of CI, CD and test automation using Selenium, Pytest, ansible-test.
- Good understanding and hands-on of AWS (Amazon Web Services) cloud services: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudWatch, ECS, ECR (Elastic Container Registry), code pipeline etc.
- DevOps and Agile working practices
- Good working knowledge of ITIL discipline
- Influencing skills and ability to bring together diverse stakeholders and attain buy in and traction to technology strategies for the benefit of the Fidelity (FIL) business and the Customer
- Excellent communication skills
Good to have skills and experience
- Basic understanding of Networking i.e. IP Subnet, OSI Layer, DNS
- Basic understanding of Firewalls, network technologies (Router and switches), Load-balancers, proxies, SD-WAN, or any of these technologies will be beneficial.
- Experience of API Gateway tooling and portals will be advantageous.
- Experience of logging and monitoring tools like ELK, etc
- Experience of Unix architecture, IaaS platforms
- Experience of Automation & Orchestration tools like Service-Now will be advantageous
- Exposure of Infrastructure architecture patterns.
- Ability to work as part of a Global team, to take the initiative, balance workload and prioritise accordingly
