Position Overview


This is a full-time individual contributor role, reporting to the Technical Sales Manager. Based onsite in Mumbai, India, this role involves travel for customer engagements and Autodesk events, up to 50% of the time.


As a Technical Solutions Executive, you will partner with Sales Executives to drive incremental Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) by translating customer challenges into impactful technical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.


Responsibilities


Develop Account Plans


  • Partner with Sales Executives to validate customer success plans and execute strategies to close business and drive expansion opportunities
  • Collaborate with global account resources to align on account strategy and customer initiatives
  • Leverage Autodesk’s standard sales methodologies to ensure technical closure and alignment with overall sales strategies

Build Customer Relationships


  • Develop an in-depth understanding of customers’ business processes, workflows, and technical requirements to establish trusted advisor relationships
  • Maintain expertise in AEC domain trends, business processes, and technology workflows to provide valuable insights and position the benefits of Autodesk solutions effectively

Lead Technical Discovery and Value Engineering


  • Conduct technical discovery sessions to assess customer needs, formulate requirement definitions, and scope solutions
  • Lead Value Engineering workshops to uncover business challenges, drivers, and priorities, connecting Autodesk solutions to tangible customer outcomes

Secure Customer Closure


  • Align with key stakeholders to achieve business and technical closure for proposed solutions
  • Manage technical evaluations, facilitate solution architecture discussions, deliver product demonstrations, oversee pilot projects, and manage third-party engagements as necessary
  • Validate the feasibility and completeness of proposed solutions to ensure alignment with customer expectations

Collaborate Across Teams


  • Build trusted working relationships with the sales team and cross-functional business resources
  • Guide and oversee collaborative resources within account objectives to ensure customer satisfaction and successful business closure

Sales Pipeline Management


  • Utilize the sales CRM to manage the sales pipeline, record prospect information, and track progress

Manage Customer Engagement


  • Foster ongoing customer relationships by engaging in value-added activities and maintaining regular contact

Minimum Qualifications


  • Education: A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from a reputed institution
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in the AEC industry
    • Proven knowledge of Autodesk solutions like Revit, Civil3D, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
    • Understanding of BIM processes and AEC industry workflows
    • Prior experience in customer-facing presales or Technical Sales Specialist roles is a strong advantage

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of company products and services
  • Work on problems of diverse scope where data analysis requires evaluating identifiable factors and exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques to develop solutions
  • Network effectively with senior internal and external personnel within your area of expertise
  • Responsible for selling the company’s products or services, developing new accounts, and/or expanding existing ones
  • Normally operate with minimal instruction on day-to-day tasks and receive general guidance for new assignments
