About the Job


As a Technical Program Manager, you understand, inspire and focus team(s) to ship great products. You bring a deep understanding of how effective software development teams operate, and technical knowledge that empowers you to make informed judgments regarding timelines, scope, quality and tradeoffs. You will drivethe end-to-end delivery of various components of the Yahoo Finance product working with engineering, product and design organizations, as well as other cross-functional teams. You have the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment and have a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary to deliver. You have the ability to think strategically and execute methodically, marrying technical knowledge and data-driven decision making. 


Responsibilities


  • Solid understanding, application and facilitation of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, including requirements definition, UI/UX design, architectural design, stakeholder feedback, development, and deployment


  • Manage processes through all stages of the product lifecycle with strong hands-on knowledge of Agile development and Jira ticketing/workflow systems


  • Manage and deliver multiple projects working with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment


  • Resolve blockers across the organization to facilitate successful, on-time delivery


  • Lead teams by driving towards measurable results, setting and tracking goals


  • Coach scrum teams on running effective and efficient scrum ceremonies


Minimum Qualifications


  • 3 years experience of technical product or program management experience, working directly with software development teams at a technology company


  • Understanding of modern technical architectures and delivering consumer web/mobile experiences


  • Experience with Scrum, or similar Agile methodology


  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules


  • Experiencewith the Atlassian suite, especially Confluence and Jira; Trello is a plus


  • Excellent communication, and ability to synthesize and report information to senior management


  • Curiosity and a desire to constantly innovate


  • Ability to work a hybrid model, commuting 3 days a week to an office in Bangalore, India


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience working on a large-scale mobile or web-based consumer product 


  • Familiar working with software in the Finance / Investing / Personal Finance space


  • Relevant certifications such as Atlassian Certified Expert, Scrum Certification


  • Computer Science or similar technical degree
