As an Techincal Product Manager for Observability, you’ll assist in delivering product experiences that enable our customers to monitor, troubleshoot, and analyze their software applications. You will work closely with business units, engineering and other cross-functional teams to help define and execute on the roadmap for our core observability capabilities, including alerting, dashboarding, search, and analytics.
You will work with a highly technical internal customer base made up of Experian’s engineers, operations staff, and SREs across various software engineering teams; you will collaborate with vendors to influence their roadmap as well as owning the roadmap for internal tools; and you’ll use your technical expertise to guide, influence, and collaborate with builders right across the company.

- Comfortable working in the gray space: you are comfortable working through ambiguity and change management, and enjoy turning undefined space into a clear vision and execution.
Summary of Primary Responsibilities
- Taking a customer-focused, data-driven approach to defining, executing, and delivering a product roadmap and product strategy.
- Contributing to the design of Experian’s observability and monitoring strategy, and then executing on that strategy to improve our engineer and SRE experience.
- Working with highly technical customers of a large platform at the center of the company.
- Engaging our engineer customers directly through a variety of channels, serving as the voice of the customer internally, identifying new capabilities, defining product features, and working closely with development teams to get features incorporated.
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, SRE, finance and executive teams to bring product to fruition.
- Participate in the product development lifecycle, including user testing, beta programs, and product launches.
- Operationalizing product metrics for the products you own, tracking user adoption and building the business case for new investment
- Help with creating product documentation, release notes, and training materials for customers and internal teams.
- Build and maintain relationship with the vendors and fulfill the vendor management controls
- Train and mentor engineers on observability best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5 years) working as a Technical Product Manager or similar role, with a focus on observability, monitoring, or related domains.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with observability as code and observability tools such as Splunk, DynaTrace, Grafana.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud monitoring principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate complex technical concepts to both technical andnon-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of successfully leading product initiatives from concept to launch, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and business impact.
- Experience working in agile development environments and familiarity with agile methodologies.
