About this role


The Team


The Web Technology and Solution team delivers a scalable, compliant, and robust user experience across BlackRock’s public-facing web sites that enables businesses throughout the firm to reach clients, partners, investors, advisors, and prospective employees!


The Role and Impact


Working with a team of employees and contractors who coordinate Red Oak Compliance System, the reg-tech platform that supports the review, approval and record-keeping for marketing materials, and for documents published to the company’s public websites. Collaborate with more than 85 business groups, L&C teams and the software vendor for global implementations of compliance frameworks.


Lead initiatives to extend the capabilities of Red Oak to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm’s marketing content life cycle, through systems integrations, process automation and AI, and new Red Oak product features.


Key responsibilities


  • Translate product strategy to define product roadmap and objectives and drive the vision for the product.


  • Analyze product requirements and drive execution through successful implementation


  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and BlackRock development teams to identify and execute integration opportunities


  • Be responsible for day-to-day BAU activities and resolve user queries


  • Partner with Legal and Compliance team to understand the policy framework and deliver regulatory projects


  • Identify enhancements to improve user experience and overall quality


  • Collaborate closely with business groups, vendor development team and legal teams for release of enhancements and integrations


  • Drive analysis on user activations/onboarding and work with internal teams on enhancing the onboarding process


  • Build relations & partner with stakeholders to understand our client’s needs and requirements


Skills and Experience


  • 3+ years of experience with product and program management


  • Ability to define holistic business requirements and communicate the needs of the team effectively


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to clearly articulate objectives and influence outcomes


  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects at the same time


  • Technical aptitude, understanding how technology drives scale and the ability to sit at the intersection of business subject matter experts, product management and engineers


  • Demonstrated ability in being proactive and having initiative to make continual improvements.


  • Basic knowledge of Java Script, Rest APIs and should be able to evaluate API request or integration proposals


  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working collaborations with partners across geographic regions and interpersonal functions


  • Experience collaborating with business partners, and the ability to manage and influence relationships that are widely dispersed both functionally and geographically


  • Experience with operations management in regulated financial services helpful
