Technical Product Manager

Alfa Laval in Pune, India we’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to take responsibility for an important part of our portfolio in Engineering & Supply Business Unit High Speed Separators and is responsible for the design, manufacturing, and delivery of high-speed separator systems for industries such as: Brewery, Beverage, Dairy, Edible Oil, Biopharma & Industrial Fermentation and Ethanol, Starch & Sugar.

The position / About the Job:

As Technical Product Manager, you have a life-cycle covering responsibility for various aspects related to the machines in your portfolio: design, performance, profitability, quality, compliance and safety.

Your main tasks:

• Play an active role in the development of new products.
• Identify and prioritize activities related to maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development of supporting processes and methods.
• Understand and follow-up on market needs and industry trends.
• Act as speaking partner and technical reference person to internal and external stakeholders.
• TPM for small brew/bev.
• In collaboration with the Sales define Product Plans.
• Drive Solution Council meetings.
• Define design guidelines for system.
• Handle improvements and customer related adjustments.
• Establish and maintain documentation according to the agreed level of documentation.
• Define minimum Quality requirement for selected system.
• Keep the "Share pages for products " database updated. Data must be validated or updated not less than one time per year.
• Initiate & Drive Supply Chain projects in collaboration with Supply.
• Support other E&S Sites to develop competence to establish localized system.
• Drive VAVE workshop for respective system.

About you

• You have a degree in Engineering or Science at university level.
• You have a solid technical background. Experience with hygienic industrial processes and/or process equipment is a merit.
• You are familiar with quality and compliance.
• You are a good communicator, verbally and written.
• Your work approach is constructive and structured.
• You see the big picture and care for the important details.
• You are a team player.
