Job Summary
As the Thermal Systems “Modeling & Simulation Tech Lead”, you will be pivotal in supporting the SBUs in designing and optimizing HVAC systems for commercial, residential, and mobile applications, including trucks and trailers. In this role, you will oversee advanced simulation projects, spearhead technological innovation, and ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. Your efforts will focus on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient systems.
Responsibilities & Competencies
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor, a team of engineers and simulation specialists in executing simulation projects.
- New Simulation Capability Development: Develop and refine simulation methods and processes to meet the innovation and sustainability challenges.
- Collaborative Innovation: Partner with cross-functional teams to establish simulation requirements, validate models, and analyze results.
- Process Enhancement: Drive improvements in simulation methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expert technical direction and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, scope, and capabilities to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
- Stakeholder Communication: Clearly present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Industry Insight: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the team ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
- Holding a Masters, or Ph.D. degree in Thermal Engineering, with hands-on experience specifically in the field of Thermal / HVAC engineering Climate products.
- Possessing 9-16 years of relevant experience in Thermal 1D Simulations in HVAC, Automotive, Aerospace or other relevant industries.
- Solid understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of Modelica based modelling
