Technical Lead - RPA

What success looks like in this role:

• Provides direction to a small team of software development engineers.
• Works with product owners / managers and clients to understand application and related software use cases and requirements.
• Collaborates with project managers to ensure team efforts are appropriately focused and integrated with overall project / program requirements.
• Leads team members in the planning and delivery of product / solution releases.
• Ensures delivery of secure, high quality, well tested and scalable software to meet client and business requirements.
• Assists with maintenance and prioritization of the product backlog.
• Engages with customers, end users and business partners to understand problems and issues with application and related software development and deployment.
• Assists with technical evaluation of new technologies and tools.
• Establishes and maintains test environments.
• Collaborates with staff and other technical colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve development and production issues.
• Establishes and consults on best practices and standard operating procedures for development, deployment, support, break-fix and systems management.
• Creates / maintains training / up-skilling plans for team members.
• Assists implementation organization level initiatives and tasks within the team.
• Identifies / reports / manages risks and issues associated with the technical solution.

• Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
• Conduct feasibility studies for automation of potential workflows.
• Design, develop, and deploy RPA solutions using tools such as Automation Anywhere or Power Automate.
• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and ensure coding standards are followed.
• Support the deployment of RPA solutions into production environments and troubleshoot post-deployment issues.
• Monitor and maintain RPA bots, ensuring their continuous operation and reliability.
• Optimize existing automation solutions for better performance and lower resource utilization.
• Work closely with business teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders to deliver automation solutions that align with organizational objectives.
• Communicate progress and challenges to project stakeholders.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Overall, at least 8 years of experience, 5 years of relevant experience in RPA development with two years in a senior role.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale RPA solutions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in RPA tools:
  • Automation Anywhere and Power Automate
  • Process automation, workflow design, and error handling.
  • Bot orchestration and working with control rooms.
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Knowledge of SQL or Oracle for database interactions.
  • Experience integrating with REST/SOAP APIs.
  • ABBYY FlexiCapture, Tesseract, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments like Azure.
  • Experience in leading RPA team.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting:
  • Expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues in RPA processes.
• Understanding of Agile and SDLC methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with ServiceNow
• Certification in RPA tools:
