Technology (T), as Siemens’ central research and development arm, has a critical role to play here. Under the leadership of the Chief Technology Officer and in partnership with the operating units, T develops Siemens’ technology and innovation strategy, builds and industrializes basic technologies, promotes business perfection through consulting and engineering services, and protects the company’s intellectual property. Technology is both a creative driver of innovative innovations and a partner to the Siemens businesses, offering them high quality research, development, and consulting services.
You’ll break new ground by:
Being Part of a Research and Development team, you will architect, design, and develop prototypes and technology demonstrators with a very high quality to tackle modern and emerging critical business challenges related to Industrial Edge, Edge Computing, HMI Panels, SCADA Solutions etc. Following is (but not limited to) your core business expectations:
·Architecture: Architect end-to-end solutions for our customers as well as business units
·Product Ownership: Develop a vision of how the product should function, define specific product features, and break those features into product backlog items
·Research: Bring your ideas related to the relevant fields, file Patents
·Hands-On: Work hands-on on developing prototypes
·Customer Centricity: Successfully implement projects, accurately analyzing requirements by constant discussion with customers.
You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:
·Master/bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
·15+ years of experience in Industrial Automation with a strong grasp of one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, GO, C++, Java).
·Developing and implementing product roadmaps aligned with business objectives
·Experience working in QT/QML
·Experience working with Siemens HMI Unified Panels
·Experience in software design and architecture.
·Experience with cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
·Knowhow of IoT (Internet of Things) or IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things).
·Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
·Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
·Ability to work independently and run multiple tasks effectively.
·Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle
