Job Description:
In the HPE Chief Technology Office, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. Working with customers, we help them reimagine their information technology needs to deliver a simple, consumable solution that helps them drive their business results. What you’ll do
Analyzes customer information requirements and product specifications to define technical content strategy and plan.
Designs and develops written or visual product-related information – hard copy, web - (e.g., user/configuration/troubleshooting guides), and online information (interactive demos, help systems) integrated into the product, for a variety of audiences (end user, system administrators, internal support engineers, product developers, training developers).
Codes, builds, compiles, and tests online information and sets up, loads, and tests systems hardware to create information deliverables and provide feedback on ease of use and user interfaces to product development.
As a customer advocate, helps define/refine product requirements.
Develops standards and style documents, templates, scripts, style sheets, and script and graphic libraries to ensure a common look and feel.
Interfaces with cross-functional areas as a product development team member, such as marketing, test, support, and manufacturing.
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.
Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Leads and provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.
Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.
What you need to bring:
Typically a First Level University degree in Technical Communications, Computer Science or related technical/communications field and a minimum of5-6 years related experience or an Advanced University degree and a minimum of 4-6 years experience or equivalent.
Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of tools and technologies to support multiple technologies.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge expert for multiple products within a technology.
Creates information strategy for a technology.
