Responsibilities
Technical Data Analyst primary responsibility is analyzing data, identifying patterns, creating trends, getting insights from data using analytical tools. Defining business requirements, working with cross functional teams on alignment and validation of requirements, testing and change management. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics including the transformation of data into readable, goal driven reports and visualization. The qualified candidate should be a self-starter, be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, own deliverables and have excellent prioritization and time management skills.
Key Tasks
· Create and maintain rich interactive dashboard visualizations through data interpretation and analysis integrating various reporting components from multiple data sources (databases, CRM, external sources, etc.) by use of tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI.
· Ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency, ensuring that it's ready for analysis. Proactively investigate data quality issues and recommend areas for improvement.
· Create reports using SAP BI & custom SQL queries.
· Assist in the development and optimization of business intelligence systems, ensuring that data can be easily accessed and interpreted across the organization.
· Develop scripts or tools to automate data collection, reporting, or analysis processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
· Participate with IT and business teams on transformational projects
· Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what drives business performance.
· Define business requirements and use cases
· Work closely with business leaders, marketing, finance, or IT teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights to improve business processes.
· Continuously monitor data quality, ensuring that data used in reports and models is accurate, consistent, and up to date.
· Work cross functionally to obtain a keen understanding of business processes that influence data quality.
· Map out existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and potential areas for improvement.
Job Requirements:
· Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in a technical data analyst role or similar data-driven position.
· Highly proficient with visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SAP-BI.
· Hands on experience with CRM applications such as SFDC, SAP, Oracle.
· Strong problem-solving ability to derive insights from data
· Proficiency in data wrangling techniques to clean and prepare data for analysis.
· Experience with complex data analysis and tools
· High Proficiency with data analysis tools: Alteryx, SQL, Python, or R.
· Able to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
· Strong MS Office skills
· Must be able to work self-sufficiently with great multi-tasking and time management skills.
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong oral and written communication skills
