SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...


This role will be responsible for developing high quality, compelling proposals and responses to RFPS that leverage the Pure Storage value proposition and differentiators. As a key driver for our Sales Teams, this role plays a critical function in increasing our annual revenue and overall win rate. It is crucial that this role develops strong working relationships with their stakeholders and SMEs to ensure the best possible outcomes and accuracy of RFP responses. This role will also be responsible for the accuracy of our content library and answers, ensuring that we have a consistent review cycle, clear ownership of answers, and overall consistency. 


 


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...


Proposal Management:


  • Leads coordination for persuasive, quality proposals through organizing pursuit teams, following RFP requirements, editing technical sections, RFP coordination, and overall ownership of the project
  • Liaise with subject matter experts to inform responses to RFPs and support the maintenance of content organized in the RFP databases, including its technical accuracy
  • Proofread proposals for content, grammar, style, formatting; edit, organize, and pull attachments and exhibits for responses
  • Consistently implement Pure Storage’s brand messaging, including voice, style, and theme, within all responses
  • Maintain ownership of the content library and take pride in the answers we put forth in our RFPs. Create a periodic review process with the Proposal Manager Team Lead; work your SMEs to maintain an accurate RFP content library
  • Continually strive to learn and grow as a professional proposal writer - bring new ideas to the team, attend training and webinars, reach out to other industry professionals, etc.

Pre-Sales Support:


  • Understand customer needs by determining technical requirements and business challenges.
  • Recommend solutions by presenting tailored proposals that highlight features, benefits, and value propositions.
  • Create cost estimates and technical proposals aligned with customer requirements. Prepare High-level solution design, Solution summary, TCO analysis, Commercials (in agreed format per Client request) and Solutions document
  • Support sales executives during technical presentations and provide insights to strengthen the customer relationship.
  • Maintaining an end to end process of solution proposal creation including POC and competitive analysis
  • Involved in process improvements and identify opportunities for sales efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications:


  • Experience: 3 to 4 years in proposal management and pre-sales roles
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to copywrite, proofread, and edit high-quality deliverables
  • Organizational Skills: Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Technical Tools: Proficient in Responsive(Formerly RFPio), Salesforce, Excel, G-Suite, and PowerPoint.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field from an accredited university
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a passion for creative problem-solving
  • Knowledge of GenAI/Automation: Understanding of Generative AI (GenAI) or experience with automation technologies is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of cloud solution AWS, AZURE, GCP is preferred
