Job Description
To our tech center in Prague and Pune, we are seeking innovative and proactive Tech Automation Specialist to join our Animal Health (AH) Manufacturing Value Team (MVT). The Automation specialist will serve as the technical subject matter expert supporting AH site automation teams. The role will support SCADA/Process Historian technical product capabilities.
Responsibilities
Be accountable for the end-to-end implementation of new shopfloor products in-line with business needs:
Architect and develop SCADA, Process Data Historian engineering solutions and manage the technical deployment of the same at multiple manufacturing plants
Documentation of best practices, internal Knowledge Articles, and other communications
Participate and contribute to investigations of automation anomalies to prevent a recurrence
Understand and support all GMPs, safety, and environmental regulations
Evaluate automated and information technology systems and develop strategies to optimize and ensure the quality and stability of automation systems through future expansion, replacement, or upgrade
Use their technical knowledge to assure the robust and efficient operation of a variety of automated processing and information technology systems
Requirements (Education minimum requirements subject to change based on country)
2+ years’ experience of SCADA systems engineering & deployment – Ignition 8.1, Rockwell Factory Talk, Siemens, Wonderware. SCADA administration and configuration
Excellent understanding on SCADA/MES Ignition modules like Perspective, Vision Unlimited, Web Browser, Alarm Notification, SQL Bridge, Tag Historian, SQL Server, python scripting
Expertise in integration with OPC server products like Kepware
Experience with automation system architecture, design, start-up, and/or qualification
Develop on-demand reports, dashboards, etc. in PI System
PI-System performance optimization, monitoring system health, upgrades, etc.
Experienced problem solver/troubleshooter, skilled in root cause analysis
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organizational skills to multi-task
Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Strong analytical thinking and technical writing skills
Proficient in MS Office Platform and document storage systems
