JOB TITLE:Tech Lead – Database Engineer (SQL Server Automation)
DEPARTMENT: Foundation Services
REPORTING TO: Senior Manager – Database Solutions
The Tech Lead – Database Engineer (SQL Server Automation) will provide production and development support for all LSEG BSL database applications. This includes designing, defining and implementing database systems with automation tools in accordance with industry standard methodologies and ensuring these systems are maintained to these standards.
The Database Engineer will design and detail the strategies for backup and recovery, performance analysis, clustering, data management, user and developer assistance, and also be a point of escalation.
The engineer will also be responsible for database connectivity using ODBC, JDBC or vendor specific architectures.

Have experience in supporting business critical applications and servers in a multi data center/ multisite environment. In particular the jobholder will demonstrate expertise in the following areas:
SQL Server Automation DBA.
Extensive experience in SQL Server 2008 - 2022 Database Administration, Clustering, SQL Server Always On, SQL Server Replication, SQL Server Mirroring, SSRS, SSIS, TSQL Scripting, Database Infrastructure Installs, Database Upgrades / Patching, Windows Server 2008 - 2022, Programming, Automation and DevOps.
