Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in Java, Kafka, and AWS. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership capabilities, who can drive technical excellence and innovation within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical direction and guidance in the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Kafka, and AWS.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and quality standards. Ensure that the team adheres to best practices in software development and agile methodologies.
- Architecture Design: Lead the architecture and design of robust and scalable systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with product management, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define project requirements and align on priorities.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, tools, and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Recruitment and Talent Development: Assist in the recruitment process for engineering talent and support the professional growth and development of team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java and related technologies.
- Proven experience with Kafka for real-time data processing and message brokering.
- Strong expertise in AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
- Experience in leading engineering teams and managing software development projects.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and software development best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
