The Team Lead Engineering and Project Execution will be responsible for ensuring that the systems are designed, built and tested as per requirements of customer in compliance with relevant regulations.The Team Lead Engineering and Project Execution will be responsible for ensuring that the systems are designed, built and tested as per requirements of customer in compliance with relevant regulations.Main Responsibilities & Tasks:Designing the system as per process requirements, which includes line sizing, component selection, Preparation of data sheets for Agitators, Heat Exchangers, Filter Housings, Thermosyphon etc.,Designing the Utility consumption for the systemsPlan technical and commercial quotations including technical description/specificationDevelop documents and quotation attachments (e.g. Piping and Instrument Diagram, Process Flow Diagram, time schedule)Communicate during technical and commercial customer meetings/contractual negotiationsDevelop concept and basic design according to company standards and guidelinesMonitor the project execution (e.g. lead engineer, system engineer) including time, budget and resource managementReview and approve process design documentsMonitor on-time and target-oriented processing after assignment of work packagesCommunicate internally and externally within the area of responsibilityEnsure process consultancy support of Factory Acceptance Test/ Site Acceptance Test activitiesQualification & Skills:Bachelor's degree in Chemical EngineeringMinimum 6 Years of experience in relevant business area and experience of team managementPrevious Process Engineering experience within biotechnology industry ideally Bioreactors, Fermenters, Crossflow systems & chromatography.Understanding of downstream and upstream processes would be helpful.Experience in designing of process & utilities – Preparation of PFD’s, P&ID’s, equipment sizing calculations Good abilities of customer processesGood Communication and analytical SkillsProven software skills, e.g. SAP-PS, MS VisioLeadership | Management:Allocation of staff to customer requests, orders incl. capacity planningVacation planning incl. nomination of deputies and handoverTeam development and change managementDefinition of goals and tasks in alignment with global strategyManagement / involvement in global internal projectsAnalysis of actual team performance (KPI) and continuous improvement of workflows and working methods/tool landscapeActive feedback on product lifecycle improvements and change managementCollaboration with internal projectsAbout Sartorius Sartorius is part of the solution in the fight against cancer, dementia, and many other diseases.
