This position is a member of the Safety Operations team within Global Patient Safety (GPS) andserves as a subject matter expert and may manage one area within the Safety Operations team. The team lead will oversee daily functions and serve as a facilitator and liaison between management andthe team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of assigned staff and/or outsource vendor
Provide direct oversight of individuals including mentoring, performance management and staffing decisions
Support in oversight of case processing and handling of day-to-day questions and issue resolution
Participate in and support management of quality control activities
Provide expertise by participating in individual case safety report processing as needed
Participate in compliance monitoring related activities including quality control metrics
NCR/CAPA ownership
Ensure awareness of departmental and functional priorities through regular communications with the team
Conduct training internal and external to GPS
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication
Collaborative interpersonal skills to foster a team environment
Ability to work independently under strict deadlines and changing priorities
Ability to multitask and prioritize changing workload for self and others
Ability to establish priorities for self and others and proceed with objectives
Excellent knowledge of Global Safety Database (e.g., Argus, ARISg)
Medical and clinical knowledge
Education and/or Experience:
Degree in nursing, pharmacy or science degree or equivalent
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Pharmacovigilance
Supervisory experience preferred
