Job Purpose:


The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of direct and indirect taxation matters relating to the region for the Group. This role involves ensuring compliance with tax regulations, managing tax-related litigation, statutory & internal audits and collaborating with various internal teams and external consultants. The Tax Manager reports directly to the RFAM in India and Regional Tax Manager.The role serves as a crucial link between the organization, consultants and tax authorities.


Job Accountabilities:


Tax Compliance Management:


Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including ticket taxes, income tax, GST, and other relevant taxes.


Ensure timely and accurate tax payment where applicable.


Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to maintain compliance.


Prepare and submit periodic tax reports to regulatory authorities.


Tax Planning and Strategy:


Develop tax-efficient strategies to optimize the organization's tax liabilities.


Identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.


Provide recommendations to senior management on tax-related matters.


Litigation Management:


Handle tax-related disputes, audits, and investigations.


Collaborate with legal counsel and represent the organization in tax litigation proceedings.


Ensure effective resolution of tax disputes while minimizing financial impact.


Internal Coordination:


Keep all internal stakeholders informed on real time basis of any new tax law or amendments thereof.


Work closely with commercial and operations teams to understand the tax implications of business activities.


Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on tax matters, ensuring adherence to tax policies and procedures.


Support financial planning by providing tax-related insights and forecasts.


Prepare and circulate management reports on various tax matters and health of compliance


External Liaison:


Establish and maintain relationships with external tax consultants, advisors, and authorities.


Coordinate with the head office on tax matters, ensuring alignment with global tax strategies.


Collaborate with external experts to obtain specialized tax advice when needed.


Tax Risk Assessment:


Conduct periodic tax risk assessments to identify potential tax exposures.


Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to minimize tax-related risks.


Documentation and Record Keeping:


Maintain accurate and organized tax records, documentation, and financial statements.


Ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements mandated by tax authorities.


Training and Education:


Stay updated on tax law changes and communicate relevant updates to the organization.


Provide tax training to employees to enhance tax awareness and compliance.
