Visa is seeking a highly motivated Automation engineer to join the Corporate Technology Support Organization. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives in a cross-functional team environment, requires minimal supervision, and build, support and maintain Automations for various corporate applications.
As an Automation engineer, you will participate in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and initiating corrective actions for technical and process issues within our systems. Your role will involve building automation solutions using Process Automation tools such as Automation Anywhere and Power Automate.
Your role requires adherence to Agile processes, policy compliance, documentation, and solution design. You'll manage configurations, conduct testing, and secure approvals, ensuring iterative progress within defined timelines, fostering collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement.
You will provide root cause analyses for any system or process issues, ensuring that remediation plans are devised, discussed, agreed upon, and executed, resulting in the permanent resolution of these issues.
In addition, you will be pivotal in ensuring adherence to customer service level agreements for various corporate applications.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Designing, developing, and testing automation workflows using Automation Anywhere and Power Automate.
Deploying process automation components, including bots, robots, virtual agents, development tools, code repositories, and logging tools.
Analyzing business processes in collaboration with stakeholders and designing corresponding automation solutions.
Providing ongoing maintenance and support for deployed automation bots and implementing enhancements and improvements.
Following best practices and standards for coding and design to ensure the efficiency and quality of automation processes.
Conducting code reviews and testing to maintain the performance and reliability of the automation.
Documenting the detailed design of the automation solution and maintaining documentation throughout the project's lifecycle.
Proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate ideas for process improvements and training needs both for applications usage by customers as well as for internal processes and skills enhancement.
Adhere to defined Visa SDLC processes, including policy compliance, documentation, solution design, configuration management, testing and approvals.
Adhere to defined support policies, procedures, and service levels with an understanding of SOX related IT controls.
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders in problem definition, business case development, solution selection, requirement elaboration, design, development, testing and deployment.
Collaborate with technical and security architects to evaluate risk and recommend remediation coordinate penetration testing activities using internal and external service providers.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Basic Qualifications
-5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 3
years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD,
MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work
experience.
Preferred Qualifications
-5 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4 or more years
of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
-Progressively experience in application administration, development, and
support.
-Requires a minimum of 3+ years progressively experience with RPA tools,
specifically Automation Anywhere and Power Automate.
-Proficiency in programming languages such as .NET, C#, Python, etc.
-Familiarity with database systems like SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
-Understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to conceptualize a
business process as an automated solution.
-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
-Experience working effectively with business and IT staff in multiple locations
-Knowledge of functional business processes surrounding the applications with
prior experience in support or implementation.
-Exceptional communication and customer facing skills, able to interact
effectively with diverse groups of global stakeholders, both technical and
business users
-Active listener, customer focused, relationship builder, team player.
-Certifications related to RPA, such as the Automation Anywhere Certified
Advanced RPA Professional or Microsoft Power Automate certification, are
advantageous.
