FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION
• Advanced technical role. Expert knowledge of the field. Develops large and/or highly complex solutions that require analysis and research. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or technical leader/consultant. Works on complex tasks, projects or issues that involve a high degree of risk, impacts business unit performance and makes use of the individuals’ high level of knowledge within one or more areas of specialty. Coaches and mentors junior technical staff. Works without supervision on the most complex projects. Complete latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires ten or more years of demonstrated experience.
What you will be doing
• Assist in the implementation of Ansible automation plays/playbooks for Linux\Windows OS patch management, service state management, data collection, reporting, etc..
• Assist in the implementation of workflows for Ansible integration with SNOW, Red Hat Hybrid Cloud, Azure, AWS, etc..
• Research and document solutions for FIS-specific requirements leading to the development of in-house Ansible modules to overcome functionality gaps not covered by Red Hat Automation Hub or Ansible Galaxy.
• Manage and maintain Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and support issues arising from or around the use of Ansible and AAP.
• Monitor the usage and performance of Ansible and AAP processes and infrastructure.
• Train (within reason) Ansible and AAP concepts and best practices.
• Participate and contribute to the overall design and architecture of “future state’ Ansible and AAP solutions
What you will bring
• Understands at a high level the installation, maintenance, and upgrade requirements of Linux and Windows OS software.
• Understands at a high level the management of Linux and Windows OS services.
• Understands at a high level the installation, configuration, and management of Ansible; to include YAML, JSON, Jinja2, etc..
• Understands at a high level the use and management of Git for version control.
• Understands at a high level both shell and Python.
• Understands the fundamentals of change management.
• Familiarity with Red Hat Satellite 6 is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with Red Hat Hybrid Cloud is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with Red Hat subscription management is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow (SNOW) is highly beneficial.
• Communication skills – verbal and written – must be high.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline.
• 10 years equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
