About the Role: We are seeking a motivated Intern to join our System Architecture and Modelling Team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience with SystemC and Transaction-Level Modeling (TLM), developing system models, conducting architecture explorations, and analyzing performance for cutting-edge systems.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in developing SystemC/TLM models for components within an SoC, including processors, memory interfaces, and custom IP blocks.
  • Perform architecture exploration for evaluating different system design options with a focus on latency, throughput, power, and area.
  • Conduct performance analysis of key system components and identify bottlenecks under various workloads.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to integrate TLM models into larger simulation environments.
  • Participate in simulation setup and configuration to validate models against performance metrics and use cases.
  • Support cross-functional efforts by documenting and presenting findings on performance and architecture to stakeholders.

Qualifications:


  • Enrolled in a Master’s, or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of system architecture and performance metrics (e.g., latency, throughput).
  • Some experience with SystemC, C++, or related modeling languages and scripting languages like Python, TCL.
  • Familiarity with SoC components like CPUs, memory, caches and interconnects is a plus.
  • Eager to learn TLM 2.0 methodology for high-level simulation and architecture exploration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with an interest in performance engineering.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical details effectively.

Preferred Skills:


  • Exposure to system-level modeling concepts or experience with simulation frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of bus protocols such as AXI, AHB, or APB.
  • Interest in hardware/software co-design principles.
