System Analyst - Enterprise Data & Analytics

IS Global Service Center (GSC) operating from Chennai, India, is a part of IS supporting Expeditors IT operations.IS GSC started with 6 employees now we are 470+ employees today delivering world class Information services globally. This Product based Strategic Center's IT transformation has delivered a radical change to Expeditors IT manpower profile and skills over the past three years and will continue to deliver services as we continue to grow responsibly in the coming years.

The Core Enterprise Data and Analytics purpose is to develop and maintain the data and analytics infrastructure that enables effective reporting, analytics, business intelligence and work boards to other IS Portfolios, Operations, and our clients. This role will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our data in various platforms. You will be responsible to Monitor, maintain, and upgrade applicable technology systems in assigned area of responsibility, which includes quality assurance, problem solving, researching user issues, performing upgrades and maintenance, and implementing system modifications. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, collaborative team player, and problem solver.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides technical end-user support, including researching user complaints, incidents, answering technical questions, and assisting with revised solution.
• Review and evaluate tasks based on priority and set clear deadlines to instill a sense of urgency.
• Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
• Support users during change control and system updates.
• Maintains a variety of records and/or documentation for assigned area of responsibility.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent Analytical skills and strong knowledge in SQL.
• Good understanding of database, data files, and data models.
• Experience in ETL tools like Informatica and to troubleshoot the failures.
• Working knowledge of business and operational processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to design creative and innovative solutions to meet the customer’s needs.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Good to have knowledge in Logistics domain.
• Experience in data analytics/visualization tools to develop insights, reports, and dashboards in Power BI/SQL BI.
• Knowledge of database maintenance and administration.
• Identify patterns and relationships to make recommendations for improvements.
• Communicating technical information to a non-technical audience.
• Experience in Agile & DevOps methodologies.
