Job Description

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
• Responsible for raw material and purchase part SKU parameterization, ensuring the strategy is aligned with the business requirements.
• Responsible for supplier master data within the ERP system. Escalation of communication from the Suppliers advising of a change to the agreement.
• Utilize inventory tools and techniques to ensure right sizing of inventory availability. Ensuring inventory right-sizing on raw material and purchased goods in transit.
• Responsible for the measuring and reporting of the supply base performance for on time delivery, lead time and order quantity.
• Build relationships with suppliers, working collaboratively on achieving the supply chain requirements.
• First level of escalation for shortages and expediting resolution and recovery.
• Lead upstream supply chain performance improvements projects, working with the Suppliers on root cause countermeasures and action plans.
• Manage the product portfolio, life cycle and NPI process with Suppliers to minimize disruption to supply, obsolete inventory and associated costs, by actively managing the ERP system for the end-to-end supply chain.
• Develop the supply base using lean methodology ensuring their processes and systems are compatible with Rotork requirements and are at a comparable level of operational excellence.
• Support centre-led sourcing team with supplier development activities.
• Support suppliers with the development of lower-tier suppliers if applicable to drive delivery improvement initiatives.
• Utilize the SiOP data to provide Suppliers with a forecasted demand profile, identifying and escalating risks in supply.
• Manage the execution of engineering change requirements, balancing the requirements of the change with managing inventory levels and minimizing obsolescence.
• Manage the slow moving and obsolete raw material inventory, identifying methods of use to reduce.
• Accountable for Supply Chain metrics, performance and root cause countermeasures, inclusive of Supplier OTD; Goods In Transit and Raw Material Inventory, Slow and Non-Moving Stock, Net Value accuracy and Absolutely quantity accuracy, Rio Rate and Suppliers average lead time and order quantity.
• Responsible for external storage and premium freight costs.
Core Competencies
• Performs all types of transactions and resolve complex issues in order transactions. Leads the team to ensure workload is completed to defined standards.
• Understands how to define inventory parameters (SS & OQ) and selects a relevant inventory management strategy at an SKU level. Ensures alignment to parameters.
• Responsible for ensuring team works in line with defined plan. Addresses non-performance of external and internal resources. Ensures execution of OTD improvement tasks
 



Qualifications

Qualifications & Technical knowledge:
• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 15 to 18 years of experience of relevant experience
• Proven experience in practicing Inventory Management and Supply chain tools & techniques
• Strong data analysis and ERP subject matter expert
• Use of common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power point.
Personal Specification:
• Excellent relationship management, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Good organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Able to think strategically and translate the strategy into operational performance.
• Able to collaborate with other functions to ensure understanding of project specifications and business needs.
• Experience of leading change and delivering results.
