Supply Chain Scheduling Specialist

About you and this role

Decides what, when and where to supply for multiple production sites or multiple plants at one site, within a single business or multiple smaller businesses. Balances supply and demand over the operational horizon, to achieve optimum product availability, asset utilization and supply chain efficiencies.
In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge developed through education or prior experience related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding.
It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance impacts your own work with limited impact on your team. You will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Generates a time-phased supply schedule to fulfill business requirements in the short-term, while considering plant wide constraints, and meeting inventory and customer service targets
• Determines and/or executes the most effective regional or global sourcing rules.
• Where applicable, implements external manufacturing agreements or executes agreements already in place.
• Owns and operates site or regional planning models (provides functional expertise for model operation; assures most efficient use of information technology)
• Serves as a local site coordinator/planner for integration of internal demand, utilities, or environmental operations at a particular location.
• Routinely checks and tracks inventory quantity, slow-moving or other inventory statuses and ensures that inventory volumes meet the plan.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain or another scientific discipline demonstrating logical thinking and computational skills (Engineering, Business, IT, Mathematics and certain Sciences).
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) in addition to one other language.
• Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and/or APICS certification would be considered a plus.
• Proficiency in the use of MS office applications (excel, outlook, power point)
