Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a
Supplier Quality Engineer in Pune.
What a typical day looks like:
- Carry out supplier validation audits, with supplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP).
- Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements
- Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities
- Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers
- Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system
- Preparation & Validation of First Article Inspection
- Manage and coordinate supplier Material/Non-Material cost recovery for Supplier Quality issues
- Support in Internal /External Audit readiness
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities
- Conduct benchmarking studies to determine best practices/designs and future trends
- Building big data collection and analytics capabilities to uncover customer, product, and operational insights
- Analyzing data sources and proposing solutions to strategic planning problems on a one-time or periodic basis
- Providing data-driven decision support
- Leverages data analytics and statistical methods to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and enhance operational efficiency.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires 4 - 7 years of experience.
- Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics. May require various PCB operations.
- Testing: oscilloscope, cable and harness testing, trouble shooting, component testing, logic analyzer.
- Inspection: bare board, systems, components, cable and harness, microscope, measuring tools.
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), TS16949, ISO45001/OHSAS18001, ISO14001
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
