Job Title: Inventory Supervisor
Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Site Inventory Manager to oversee inventory operations at our site. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate stock management, optimize inventory levels, and collaborate with various departments to meet business goals. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively. Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Control: • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring real-time data updates and reconciliation. • Perform regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to minimize discrepancies. 2. Demand Planning & Forecasting: • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to forecast demand and plan inventory levels accordingly. • Monitor stock trends to ensure optimal inventory levels and avoid overstock or stockouts.
3. Warehouse Coordination: • Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure efficient stock movement, storage, and handling practices. • Ensure inventory is organized and easily accessible for operational efficiency.
4. System Management: • Utilize and maintain inventory management software (e.g., WMOS, SAP) for accurate stock tracking and reporting. • Identify and implement system improvements to enhance inventory operations.
5. KPI Monitoring: • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and stock turnover. • Drive initiatives to achieve and exceed inventory-related KPIs. 6. Process Improvement: • Identify opportunities for streamlining inventory processes and implement best practices. • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory management.
7. Team Leadership: • Lead, train, and mentor inventory staff to ensure high levels of accuracy and efficiency. • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
8. Compliance & Safety: • Ensure inventory handling complies with safety regulations and company policies. • Conduct regular checks to maintain compliance with audit standards.
9. Reporting & Insights: • Generate and analyze inventory reports, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. • Highlight potential risks, discrepancies, or areas for improvement. 10. Cost Management: • Monitor and manage inventory-related costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising operational efficiency. Qualifications & Skills • Educational Background: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. • Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or supply chain roles. • Technical Skills: • Proficiency in inventory management systems such as WMOS, SAP, or similar tools. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. • Key Competencies: • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Additional Preferences: • Experience in FMCG, e-commerce, or logistics sectors is highly desirable. • Knowledge of lean inventory practices or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
