Business Information: The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries. Mission Statement: We aim to elevate the quality and capacity in our Supply Chain Management function by welcoming a skilled and dedicated professional to the team. Roles and Responsibilities: Lead Supply Chain Management (SCM) for PGGA, Comms OU from tender to project completion. Collaborate with Sales, Bids & Proposal, Project Management teams to understand the Scope & Project requirement. Prepare and send RFPs and RFQs, ensuring timely and quality receipt of supplier offers. Plan, execute, and report on project sourcing performance, and oversee procurement plans and deliveries. Manage key supplier relationships, including contracting, forecasting, and issue resolution, and negotiate frame contracts. Utilize Global Product Group contracts and implement them in the business. Ensure compliance with supplier processes and guidelines. Resolve operational sourcing challenges during project execution. Develop and manage the supplier base, ensuring quality management, risk assessment, and performance evaluation. Engage in vendor development and induct new vendors. Apply Project Procure for cross-functional collaboration and RFQ efficiency. Represent SCM in kickoff meetings and resolve SCM challenges efficiently. Expedite issue resolution concerning lead times, deliveries, and pricing. Monitor project budgets and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency. Ensure supplier qualification, risk assessment, and performance evaluation. Act as the main contact for supplier claim management using the Supplier Non-Conformance Resolution Process tool. Liaise with the Transport Trade Logistics function. Initiate and lead cost reduction and continual improvement projects. Train and support team members to ensure process harmony. Your Background: Diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronics & Communication engineering. Should have 4 years of relevant experience in a Telecom IT environment is an advantage. Strong strategic sourcing and project supply chain execution knowledge. Technical, contractual, and commercial understanding. Mandatory International work experience across time zones. Proficiency in SAP is advantageous. Self-motivated, analytical, and metrics-oriented team player with excellent negotiation skills. Effective communicator who works independently and instructs others in SCM matters.
