The Team: S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Data Strategic Programs and Initiatives team drives vision and strategy with a critical, thoughtful, and intuitive approach, fostering enterprise-wide collaboration to enhance Market Intelligence capabilities and drive overall success for the enterprise. The Program Manager will roll up to the Data Business Operations group, housed under the Data Shared Capability function of S&P Global Market Intelligence.


We lead and manage long-cycle enterprise-wide and MI Data strategic programs in partnership with stakeholders across the organization. We are seeking a Program Manager to develop and implement MI and enterprise-wide strategic programs and projects. This role involves working closely with senior leaders to define, develop, and execute these initiatives, ensuring alignment with both Market Intelligence and enterprise-wide goals.


The Impact: The project manager is focused on combining high quality execution ability, attention to detail, strong project management and communication skills, while building effective partnerships across the enterprise.  


This role is responsible for the successful execution of both enterprise-wide and MI Data initiatives, supporting the strategic direction of Market Intelligence and the enterprise. The Program Manager will partner with stakeholders to drive significant and measurable change, focusing on enhancing enterprise capabilities, enabling cross-divisional data discovery and synergy, and developing shared ontology and taxonomy.

Primary responsibilities will be:


  • Creates project plans and monitors projects through governance structures. 
    • Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects, including requirements gathering, identification and monitoring of key success factors and metrics, risk/issue management, dependencies and workflows, communications, plan development and maintenance, preparation of presentation materials. 
    • Manages relationships, resolves conflicts, and facilitates and manages the political aspects of stakeholder management.  
    • Develops business strategies, techniques, and tools to identify barriers to success and facilitate prevention strategies. 
    • Collaborate with colleagues across a global organization. 
    • Work independently and make appropriate project-related decisions with as-needed guidance from project advisor
    • Proactively seek, document and incorporate stakeholder and customer feedback 
    • Recommend plan customizations, as appropriate, to best serve project needs 
    • Work on sensitive projects or with sensitive data  

We’re Looking For: An individual with a proven track record of running large-scale programs from discovery to execution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a desire to learn and grow, critical thinking, and strong problem-solving skills. This role requires a commitment to enterprise-wide collaboration and the ability to lead initiatives that drive impactful results for both Market Intelligence and the broader organization.


Basic Qualifications:


  • 4-6 years of project/program management work experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams using standard tools (charter, project plan, RAID, RACI, process flow diagrams, communication plan, Standard Operating Procedures, change management plan, requirements assessment, control plan, meeting agendas and notes etc.) 
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment at all levels in the organization  
  • Self-direction, proactive behaviors, and ability to thrive fluid working environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal English communications skills  
  • Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:


  • PMP Certification and coursework in Project Management
  • Advanced knowledge in using Smartsheets, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Moderate knowledge in Visio and Excel
  • Proven track record of running large-scale programs from discovery to execution
  • Strong attention to detail, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization
  • Excellent communication skills to drive a comprehensive communications strategy
