In this role you’ll make an impact by:


Delivering the following Management/steering responsibilities


  • Leading and developing strategic/key account by understanding the customer and developing a commercial strategy jointly with the global account team to reach their business goals in the region.


  • Develop multi-layer sales relationships within the account and develop/maintain power map to understand decision power distribution in the various markets of Middle East India and Africa (MEIA) region. You can leverage the executive suite to do this better


  • Drive overall strategic direction of account and provide input for financial processes


  • Facilitate innovation partnerships where relevant


Delivering the following main operational responsibilities:


  • Manage internal stakeholders including regional or global account teams


  • Build a wide network internally to ensure customer needs are serviced both reactively and proactively across functions globally and locally (e.g., Supply/ Demand Planning, Marketing, Technical, Customer Service, Quality, etc.)


  • Turn business, industry development and customer needs into sales opportunities


  • Proactively identify new opportunities (local/regional for the account) and steer them to fruition by anchoring ownership in the region


  • Identify competitive threats at accounts and inform by registering relevant information in Salesforce and follow-up on planned measures. Ensure mitigating actions are taken to minimize impact of threat


  • Utilize customer and insight-based sales approach Support responsibilities


  • Provide input to Global Account Team on various topics such as general account trends, competition, industry dynamics and provide feedback on performance/collaboration to TS/R&D



Potentially relevant experience:


  • Hold an M.B.A from a top institute with 5-6 years of relevant job experience handling regional or global key accounts.


  • Experience in FMCG will be an advantage.


  • Strong analytical skills and ability to spot and present market trends.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills to relate to customers and colleagues of different backgrounds


  • Thinking ability to drive implementation and follow through


  • Ability to drive decision making in a complex stakeholder setup.
