Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages promptly.
Inventory Management:
- Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure easy access and proper stock rotation.
- Monitor inventory levels and alert supervisors of low-stock or excess inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all received and stored goods.
- Ensure documentation is updated in the inventory management system.
Distribution and Coordination:
- Prepare and issue materials, supplies, or products to internal departments or customers as requested.
- Collaborate with the purchasing and logistics teams for smooth coordination.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Ensure storage areas comply with health and safety regulations.
Equipment Handling:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to load, unload, and transport goods (if certified).
Additional Information
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in warehousing/logistics are a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or logistics preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Office.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move items up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs], and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
