We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our talented team in Bangalore. This position will co-work with Manufacturing Engineers and Supervisors to develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing systems to improve the efficiency and productivity of manufacturing site operations. In addition, they will be responsible for designing complex digital systems with a combination of web applications, analytics tools, database routines, and backend engineering solutions
Position Responsibilities:
- Gather user requirements from manufacturing and engineering teams for new projects and initiatives
- Develop digital application strategy working with global business operations partners and site leaders
- Develop reliable and efficient applications to support regional business users
- Maintain and enhance the existing digital solutions
- Create and maintain documents for all projects
- Conduct acceptance test for system enhancements to ensure accuracy and reliability before implementation
- Develop user guides and training materials for new and existing manufacturing systems
- Conduct training on these systems for operation staff
- Modify, adapt, and transfer systems across departments and manufacturing sites

Position Requirements:
- Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for software architecture, aligning with business goals and objectives.
- Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, high-performance software systems, ensuring adherence to architectural best practices and principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze technical feasibility, and propose innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Architect end-to-end solutions across multiple technology stacks, platforms, and environments, considering scalability, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure architectural integrity, quality, and consistency across projects.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks, assessing their potential impact and guiding adoption decisions.
- Drive technical initiatives, research, and innovation projects to explore new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to communicate technical strategies, provide insights, and contribute to organizational growth and success.
Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's or PhD) preferred.
- 10+ years of analytics software engineering experience, focusing on architecture, design, and development of large-scale, distributed systems supporting decision support.
- Proven track record of designing and architecting complex analytics or business workflow software solutions, with expertise in multiple technology stacks, platforms, and programming languages.
- Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices, with experience in monolithic and microservices architectures.
- Strong proficiency in cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong domain expertise in life sciences manufacturing equipment, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, processes, and technologies.
- Familiarity with Analytics tools like Tableau, PowerBI, Quilk, Cognos, or Business Objects
- Understanding data and analytics tools like Snowflake, dBT, Tableau, Spark/Python, etc.
- Solid understanding of digital application architecture, design patterns, and principles of object-oriented programming tools like Git, JIRA, DevOps.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership experience with a track record of leading architectural initiatives, mentoring engineering teams, and driving results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
