About the role:
We are looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our Site Reliability Engineering Rapid Response Team as we manage our global cloud platform infrastructure. Zscaler's cloud platform is one of the world's largest private clouds delivering Security-as-a-Service to the world's leading enterprise companies. You will report to the Senior Director, you'll be responsible for:

What We're Looking for
· Must have 6+ years of experience in SRE
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related technical field involving computer systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience
· With a complete intolerance to manual work, you will guide Toil reduction through automation and tooling
· Improve organisational excellence by building scalable process frameworks which bring rapid responses to availability issues
· Improve holistic observability, High fidelity and low frequency alerting, zero touch operations and automation first strategies.
· Improve standardised tooling around deployment, capacity management, service onboarding to ensure seamless implementation with built in scalability over time.
· Improve infrastructure, tooling and process improvements to improve overall system reliability
· Work with Product SRE teams to ensure adoption of SRE best practice, tooling and capability within those teams. Ensure seamless transfer of support responsibilities
· Ensure all services and product elements are built to adopt standardised capabilities around deployment, patching, capacity management to support effortless scalability and work beating reliability
· Support and troubleshoot multiple large-scale distributed software applications and networks
What Will Make You Stand Out
· Proficiency with a programming language Python, Go and scripting languages 'Bash'
· Experienced in the culture of SRE in comparable technology environments.
· Determination and ability to make sound judgments
· Experience driving automation first environments with the ability to build tooling and automations at scale
· Expert level knowledge across a variety of infrastructure components such as Linux, Networking, Observability and databases
