We are looking for a seasoned insights leader to champion systematic process to build and leverage customer insights that will guide PV’s marketing and growth strategy in India. This role is expected to work with the marketing leadership team to evolve and drive the overall insights strategy for the India business. The candidate should be adept at defining the business problems, identifying the right hypotheses, design and execute required types of research, ensuring timely delivery and dissemination of research outputs. This role requires an individual with deep expertise in consumer research, along with excellent analytical and communication skills. At the core, she/he should be willing to truly represent the unbiased voice of the customer. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with strong attention to detail, vocally self-critical, with an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. She/he should recognize that the true measure of success is based on the business impact the projects have had. She/he needs to combine their experience across consumer research and analytics with a passion for entertainment to provide rich insights to help us deliver impactful messaging around our brand, content and product.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead and develop the insights function by driving a prioritized roadmap of research programs (Qualitative & Quantitative) for the marketing team. It will also require collaborating with other cross-functional research/product and content teams in India and globally, to systematically surface customer insights and gaps.
• Own end-to-end delivery in the designing & execution of research programs and roadmap goals - including scoping with local and international business leaders - influencing research agencies on design, data collection and data analysis
• Responsible for marketing performance reporting, including brand health, campaign KPIs and program performance reports. Contribute to the weekly, monthly & quarterly business reviews with performance metrics and customer VOCs supported with insights that enable clarity and decision making.
• Demonstrate thinking & design in areas of brand equity, consumer segmentation, opportunity sizing based on first principles. Lead adoption of newer research techniques that could help in quick dipsticks and early feedback capture.
• Design and execute large scale internal customer insights programs to measure impact of various content/ brand/ service/ new product initiatives on salience, consideration, NPS etc.
• Work closely with the new initiatives’ teams (across content and product) to get customer facing inputs and validations, ensuring early stage effectiveness and improving the odds of success when launched
• Own, manage and develop strategic relationships with external research agencies to drive APV research roadmap in a high quality and cost-efficient manner
- 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to stakeholders
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- 8+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
