Amazon is looking for a motivated individual for the profile of Sr. Program Manager for its External Channels team. As a Sr. Program Manager, you will be accountable for managing central programs for External fulfilment channel pan-India. You will lead programs that impacts all external channels - Seller flex, Vendor flex, Direct fulfilment, Stores, Warehouse Integrations, Easy ship and Stores. You will lead programs such as Cost of Business Waste reduction, Process Standardisation, co-owning Annual Operating Plans (OP1/OP2), Headcount planning, Partnering with Operations team on productivity improvement initiatives, leading central automation initiatives by working with analytics, planning and rolling out Tech initiatives etc. regional. You will work with Regional Managers to design and operationalize scalable processes and sound playbooks for peak. You will play a vital role in maintaining a vibrant team culture based on customer obsession, trust, respect, continuous learning, and fun. You are process-driven, comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity, detail-oriented, able to think outside the box, analyze metrics and implement solutions

Key job responsibilities
1. Define, design, launch and manage new products and programs for improving customer and seller experience including owning long term planning, program and product roadmap
2. Own industry benchmarking, gather requirements, do customer/seller studies, conceptualise solutions and work on building these capabilities.
3. Monitor key program metrics and work with stakeholder teams to drive actions. Build mechanisms to detect and drive down defects and work on continuous improvements.
4. Influence to drive exceptional results, including formulating standard operating procedures, identifying areas of improvement and implementing solutions.
5. Use business acumen to identify trends, drive root cause analyses, and resolve issues.
6. Must be able to work flexible hours and respond to any contigency.
This role will require exceptional communication and influencing skills, and will work to influence stakeholders across Sellers, Retail Business, Operations, Tech and Product teams. This role will require the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, startup environment, partnering with others as needed, and the ability to exercise sound judgment solving novel problems without clear direction from leadership. The successful candidate has demonstrated the ability to solve complex logistics challenges and possesses bias for action and deliver results in the role.
About the team
The team manages External fulfilment channels for Amazon India. The team is responsible for performance, cost, quality and speed metrics. The team is structured regionally as well has a central team of Program Managers who drive programs.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
