Summary of Position:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Sr. Principal I, Software Engineering – Cloud and DevOps Architect to join our Digital Health Foundational Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Architecture, DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure management, automation, and leading/mentoring team with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines and cloud solutions. Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with healthcare-specific certifications and compliance standards, is highly desirable. As a DevOps Technical Leader, you will play a crucial role in driving our DevOps & Cloud strategy, Monitoring & observability, Cloud certifications for Digital Health, improving deployment efficiency, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Leadership:
- Define and implement the organization's DevOps strategy to align with business and technical goals.
- Act as a Technical leader and advocate for DevOps principles across teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior leadership & Architects to integrate security best practices into enterprise architecture.
Architecture and Design:
- Design and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure that supports rapid development and deployment.
- Architect CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools to ensure automated compliance and vulnerability checks.
- Develop and maintain a security-first approach to software delivery and infrastructure management.
Implementation and Optimization:
- Lead the implementation of tools and frameworks for infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and cloud-native development.
- Oversee the adoption of security automation and monitoring solutions to minimize vulnerabilities and accelerate delivery.
- Continuously improve DevOps processes through feedback, metrics, and emerging best practices.
Team Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Partner with engineering, IT, and security teams to drive a culture of shared responsibility for security.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to DevOps and Software engineers, fostering skill development and growth.
- Facilitate cross-team communication to ensure alignment on security and operational objectives.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST).
- Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks within the software development lifecycle.
- Implement policies and practices for secure code development, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
- 14+ years of experience in DevOps, or a similar role with significant architecture responsibilities.
- Proven expertise in AWS cloud platforms and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of security frameworks, tools, and technologies (e.g., SAST, DAST, SIEM, IAM).
- Solid knowledge of networking, IAM, security policies, and AWS cost optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Go, Shell).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of influencing and driving change.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, or similar.
- Experience with agile & Kanban methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Knowledge of modern application security vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
