Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Pega Tester to develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for Pega applications. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Pega PRPC, expertise in test automation tools, and proven experience leading quality assurance teams in an Agile development environment.
Software Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Pega PRPC and its testing frameworks.
- Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, and TestNG.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies for Pega applications.
- Create, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand the requirements and functionality of the Pega application.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs through to resolution.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements and ensure consistent project execution.
- Monitor debugging process results and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts).
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
- Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk, and report it to concerned stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with general programming best practices, accepted web standards, and those standards set forth by upstream sources.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience in automation testing, including creating and executing test cases and test scripts.
- Excellent knowledge of various automation testing tools, such as Selenium, Appium, and TestNG.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodology and SDLC.
- Experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
- Basic understanding of Pega, including Case Management, Data Transform, Activities, and Decision Tables.
- Familiar with Selenium WebDriver API, Apache POI API for reading and writing data from/to excel.
- Testing Framework: TestNG or JUnit.
- Basic CI Tool: Jenkins.
- Build Tools: Maven.
- Knowledge of Frameworks: KeywordDriven, DataDriven, and Hybrid.
- Good to have Playwright knowledge.
Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, with at least 5+ years of experience in leading teams.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software applications.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Review test results and ensure that any identified defects are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
- Lead the continuous improvement of the automation testing process, including the adoption of new testing tools and methodologies.
- Mentor and coach team members on testing best practices and new testing techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, project management, and business teams, to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
