The Ordering team is a well-established and foundational org at Amazon. We are looking for an experienced manager to lead our new team in Hyderabad and join us as we continue to provide the best possible customer purchase journey.
A successful candidate will bring a deep technical expertise, strong business acumen and judgment, excellent project management skills, solid communication skills, and be driven to achieve results in a fast paced environment. You will also have a focus on hiring and developing your team, have strong skills in analyzing and improving software development processes, and are highly customer focused and is passionate about solving real business problems.
Key job responsibilities
- Recruit and build a high-performing engineering team through effective hiring, retention, performance management, mentoring, skill development and a culture of innovation on your team.
- Lead the execution and completion of all key projects, ensuring high standards of quality and timeliness.
- Drive architecture, design, implementation, and operational support of tools and services.
- Help form long-term technical and business strategy and goals.
- Communicate effectively across job families, locations and teams.
- Establish a high bar and relentlessly improve software design, operations, and engineering processes to delight customers
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications
