Job Description
The CMMI Maturity Level 5 SVC & DEV Assessor/Implementor/Facilitator is responsible for guiding and supporting the organization in the implementation and assessment of CMMI V3.0 for Service (SVC) and Development (DEV), focusing on achieving and maintaining the highest maturity level (ML 5). The role involves assessing existing processes, driving continuous process improvements, and facilitating the implementation of process best practices according to CMMI standards. The candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- CMMI Assessment and Implementation:
- Lead the planning and execution of CMMI ML 5 assessments for both Service and Development (SVC & DEV) models.
- Analyze and assess the organization's current processes against CMMI standards.
- Identify gaps and areas of improvement and develop actionable plans for process improvement.
- Support and facilitate the organization in achieving CMMI V3.0 ML 5 certification.
- Process Improvement:
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements based on CMMI models.
- Lead process reengineering initiatives to optimize and align business processes with CMMI practices.
- Monitor and evaluate process performance, ensuring continuous alignment with CMMI ML 5 standards.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure sustained process maturity and compliance.
- Facilitation and Training:
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate staff and management on CMMI principles, practices, and methodologies.
- Mentor and coach internal process owners, project managers, and other key stakeholders on CMMI-related activities.
- Support the creation and dissemination of process documentation, templates, and tools.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation in line with CMMI requirements.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on the progress of CMMI implementation and process maturity.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of assessments, process improvements, and audit outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and CMMI auditors or appraisers.
- Collaborate with other teams such as Quality Assurance, IT, and Project Management to ensure alignment with CMMI standards.
- Ensure effective communication of CMMI objectives, progress, and results across the organization.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of CMMI V3.0 for Service and Development.
- Experience with process assessment tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other software development methodologies is a plus.

- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and departments.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Certifications:
- Certified CMMI V3.0 Lead Appraiser (preferred).
- CMMI V3.0 DEV & SVC Implementation or Assessor certifications.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in leading CMMI Level 5 assessments and implementations (both SVC and DEV models).
- 8+ years of experience in process improvement, quality management, or relevant roles.
- Strong familiarity with process improvement frameworks like ITIL, Six Sigma, or Lean is desirable. Experience in managing Lean Six Sigma projects and driving results.
