Sr. Manager/DGM - Renewable Energy Consultancy (Sales)


The Sr. Sales Manager/DGM will be part of India’s National Sales organization, responsible for guiding future clients toward achieving RE 100 goals. This role involves collaborating with customers to develop solutions and business cases focused on Renewable Energy Advisory Services.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Establish and cultivate new business opportunities within targeted segments and accounts through prospecting, networking, qualifying, and closing techniques.
  • Convert leads into ongoing, profitable business relationships.
  • Develop customized solutions from Schneider Electric’s offerings to meet customer business needs.
  • Understand and address customer long-term strategic objectives to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Advise clients on Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Services and own the complete sales cycle, including negotiating and closing contracts for Renewable Energy Advisory Consultancy.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to improve offerings and market strategies.
  • Work with customers to develop solutions and business cases that incorporate ESS Services, including Schneider’s Resource Advisor™ SaaS offerings.
  • Communicate with decision-makers at all levels to identify needs, requirements, and market opportunities.
  • Maintain a CRM database (Salesforce.com) with accurate prospect information.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in sales within the energy or renewable industries, preferably with industrial and commercial clients.
  • The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of Physical and Virtual Power Purchase Agreements. (Third Party, Group Captive, BESS etc.) and have problem solving approach.  
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly understand client demands and align them with Schneider Electric solutions.
  • Successful track record in all elements of a consultative sales role, including lead generation and follow-up.
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
